I am just in the midst of setting up my new laptop for all my work. My current laptop is just too old and has reached its limits. Of course, that means hours of installing software and setting everything up. However, big tech companies made it harder to just download the installer for their software. They hide it behind accounts you have to sign in and so on. Why? I don’t know, you still have to sign in again once you downloaded the software. I don’t know what the big issue is in just putting the download link somewhere easy to find on the website.

As I was going through all the software I need to install, I also need to install Adobe Creative Cloud. The Creative Cloud Desktop App is basically the hub for all the software and files in your Adobe account. You will use the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App to install and sync everything else.

To download the latest version of the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App installer for Mac or Windows click on the button below. The site will automatically detect if you are using a Mac or PC.

Normally, the above button will take you to Adobe’s website and it should detect the right installer for your system. If there are any issues or you are looking for a specific installer for a specific version of Windows or MacOS, you can go here.

First you have to select your operating system – MacOS or Windows and then you can select what version you are running and download the respective installer file for that system.

After you download the installer, you need to sign in to your Adobe account before you can download any apps onto your computer. I don’t see the reason why you would need to log in on the website to download an installer and then you have to login again. I wish companies would help us to streamline the set up. It’s bad enough that you have to have an internet connection to even set up your new Windows PC.
