PlanIt Earth: The App You Need to Capture the Perfect Shot

My favorite photo planning app, PlanIt Pro just got a complete overhaul. PlanIt is now PlanIt Earth. The whole interface changed and is now even better than before. The main focus of the interface is now the map, where you will do all your planning.
It has all the features of PlanIt Pro and even more. All the features are now even better and so much more powerful. According to the developer, PlanIt Pro will continue on for now, but in the end PlanIt Earth will replace it. You can have both apps installed side by side while you get familiar with the new user interface and features.
I highly recommend you to force yourself to use PlanIt Earth as much as you can, as it is such a great app.
Pricing changed also. The annual subscription is now $14.99, and Lifetime will set you back $99.99. Yes, lifetime is a steep price for an app, but honestly, worth every penny.
If you are new to PlanIt all together, you can get a 7-day pass for $0.99. You can get the 7-day pass only once and it is not renewable. It is just an option for you to try out the app and see how you like it.
If you have been a PlanIt Pro subscriber in the past, whatever you have paid so far will be credited towards lifetime membership, or you can use it for a one-time annual subscription. I highly recommend upgrading to lifetime! If you are serious about photography, this is the way to go.
A lifetime subscription wasn’t included before, if you wanted all the features of PlanIt Pro, like Location Explorer.
Cross Device Compatibility
PlanIt Earth is available for
- iOS (coming soon)
- Android
- Harmony OS
- MacOS
- Windows
Download links can be found on the official website.
Your subscription is good for every platform, and you can use up to three devices simultaneously. For example, have it installed on your phone, tablet and computer. Just awesome. All you need is your PlanIt account and your license will sync to every device automatically after logging in.
Speaking about sync. All your plans and markers you created in PlanIt Pro will sync to Earth as well. So, you won’t lose anything when changing to PlanIt Earth.
The new app version comes with a built-in user guide as well as how the old PlanIt Pro features are now working in PlanIt Earth.

Don’t just plan it, capture it
PlanIt Earth is not just a planning app, it is also a shutter release for your camera. Use the app on your phone and connect your camera and you will never miss the perfect moment. The app supports most of the mirrorless cameras from Sony, Canon and Nikon. Others might work too, but are not tested. However, the team is working to expand the compatibility to other camera manufacturers as well.

Conclusion
This is the App! Yes, this is the app you need for all your photo planning. I also tried PhotoPills before, but this app is just so much better. Even the old Pro version was so much better than PhotoPills. PlanIt Earth is killing it and any other app I have tried. It also combines multiple apps all in one app. The developer is awesome and super responsive.
I am still exploring the app to learn more about all the features and how it can help me to capture the next great photo.
