ShareX Now Available in Version 16

My favorite open source screenshot and screen recording tool is now available in version 16. Currently only available as a prerelease, with the final release coming shortly.
ShareX has been around for over 16 years and is still going strong. ShareX is completely free and open source. After trying multiple screenshot tools, I found ShareX many years ago and I have been using it ever since. Other screenshot tools disappeared again from the market.
However, ShareX is here to stay, and it is the most versatile tool I ever tested so far. You cannot just take screenshots of your whole screen; you can take photos of certain areas of the screen. You can do a screen recording for tutorials or you can create gifs.
The only downside for some of you guys might be the fact, that it is only available for Windows. It comes in two versions, a regular installer version and a portable version, which doesn’t need to be installed to run.
Since it is currently only a prerelease, you can download version 16 only from the official website. Alternatively, it is also available in the Microsoft Store and on Steam.
Version 16.0.1 is now available on both app stores below.
What is your favorite screenshot tool? What do you recommend for other operating systems?
